When the idea of launching In Touch first came to me, there was one thing I felt certain about: I wanted to offer massage in a way that genuinely worked for pregnant women and new mums. With years of experience in midwifery and health visiting, home visiting has always been a huge part of how I support families — so working as a mobile massage therapist felt completely natural.
As a mum myself, I know first‑hand how hard it can be to get out of the door for appointments. During pregnancy there are unexpected symptoms that pop up at the most inconvenient times, and in the early days with a new baby, routines can change hour by hour. Later on, it becomes a juggle of nursery runs, school pick‑ups and squeezing everything into a very small window of time. Because stress is one of the things massage is so effective at reducing, I never wanted accessing my treatments to create stress in the first place.
At home or The Retreat?
While mobile massage will always be a core part of what I offer, I’m delighted to now also welcome clients to my calm, dedicated treatment space at The Retreat in Brundall. This gives you the choice of being treated either in a peaceful studio environment or in the comfort of your own home — whatever feels best for you at this stage of life.
Mobile massage can be especially supportive in late pregnancy and the early postnatal weeks, when leaving the house can feel particularly challenging. Being treated at home allows you to fully relax without worrying about travel, parking, or rushing off afterwards — you can simply stay cocooned, rest, hydrate, and let the benefits of your massage settle in.
Travel fees for mobile appointments
I offer mobile massage appointments within a 20 minute drive of Brundall. Mobile treatments aren’t booked online; instead, they can be requested directly so we can chat through availability and logistics together.
Because mobile treatments involve additional time for travel, setting up and packing away, a travel fee applies:
- £20 for addresses within a 10 minute drive of Brundall
- £30 for addresses within a 20 minute drive of Brundall
This helps reflect the extra time and care that goes into bringing everything needed for your treatment to you.
Quality, care and flexibility
My aim with In Touch is to offer high‑quality, safe and effective treatments for mums and mums‑to‑be. In 2024, my mobile massage service was recognised with an award for Best Postnatal Wellness Service — a reflection of my commitment to providing safe, nurturing and genuinely supportive care for new mums.
I love seeing that relaxed, floaty look on my clients’ faces after a treatment — and I especially love knowing that, if I’ve come to you, I can leave you settled at home, perhaps wrapped up on the sofa with a drink, rather than sending you straight back out into the world.
A quick note on logistics
For all new mobile clients, I will need to check some practical details such as parking and access. My massage couch is easy for me to transport short distances, but long walks from parking areas or multiple flights of stairs might be tricky.
